Exhibition worth visiting
I understand that the majority of our customers are from the U.S. However, for those in the U.K. there’s an exhibition coming up 4th October 2007 at the Hayward Gallery in London displaying some great works of art from a few of my favorite artists that I wanted to mention. These will include David Hockney, Andy Warhol, Gerhard Richter and Martin Kippenberger. The exhibition explores the relationship between photography and painting and the way in which the artist translates photographs from magazines, newspapers and advertisements into original pieces of art and social commentary. The show will consist of paintings from the 1950s to date and if you are in London or nearby and interested in seeing some of the most influential pieces of work spanning the past 5 decades it’s a must! Not having the opportunity to go there myself, I would love to hear from those who can make it!
