The World’s 50 Best Works of Art!
I read a great article on the Telegraph.co.uk entitled “The Worlds 50 Best Works of Art (and how to see them)”. The article doesn’t stray far from its title as it’s essentially a list of the “top 50” (up for discussion) works of art from around the world, and where they are located.
I was able to recognize most of the listed works and am happy to say that I have even seen #4 on the list being the Terracotta Army in Xi’an China. Seeing these ancient works of art was certainly an experience I will never forget, and reading this article has only sparked my enthusiasm to get out there and see more of the world’s treasures.
Another piece that I found particularly interesting was #25 on the list: Leonardo da Vinci, “Lady with an Ermine”. This one caught my attention as although I have never seen the original I am lucky enough to see beautiful hand painted reproductions of this piece in our studio on almost a weekly basis. “Lady with an Ermine” is a very popular oil painting amongst Ocean’s Bridge customers and I am proud to say we always do a wonderful job on it. It can be found on our website at - http://www.oceansbridge.com/oil-paintings/product/1880/portraitofceciliagallerani
Let me know what your thoughts regarding this article. Do you agree with the list? What would you change? If anyone has seen one of these works of art please share the experience with us.
